Buckhead Atlanta Development is now OPEN!

2005, nearly ten years ago, I was in Manhattan working in the Fashion Industry as a Merchant for Lord and Taylor.     At the time,  although I had never been to Atlanta, everyone in the fashion industry was aware of the “Streets of Buckhead” Development to come.     An onslaught of better brands, high end restaurants (think Japonais at the time) and more were planned for this massive development.   Fast forward a few years later.  The nationwide Depression had set in, and by the time I had moved to Atlanta in the Fall of 2008 that space was simply known by most as Atlanta’s Big Dig.   The Development literally abandoned, and the grand ambitions a thing of the past.

As I started Buying (I own two small condos a few blocks from there) and brokering Real Estate in Atlanta I have always pushed my clients to this area.    At first to the Eclipse building, and then as prices rose there, to Ovation.       Today, I am more bullish on the area than ever.   The scope of the project, now simply called “Buckhead Atlanta” is impressive.   When the California company Oliver Mcmillan took over the development the luxurious ambitions of “Streets” was initially down played.    Fortunately, as the luxury products market has flourished in an otherwise floundering economy, the new Development has in fact become an up-market destination.       When you look at a tenant list that includes Canali, Dior, Etro, Helmut Lang, Jimmy Choo, Jonathan Adler, La Perla, Theory, Tod’s, Scoop NYC, and Moncler.  Dining wise, augmentations to the local dining scene of American Cut, Lugo Cucina and many more also easily eclipse the original scope of high-end flavor that the “Streets” aspired to.     I am particularly excited to finally get a Shake Shack in Atlanta.    Yes, yet another Burger joint I will be making frequent stops at in between my many trips to a from Midtown and Buckhead.

Below are the links to Buckhead Atlanta.   I am working with clients who now have a renewed interest in Eclipse.    The Eclipse. is the nicest, closest condo, RIGHT THERE.   Even at the levels of around $200k a 1 bedroom it remains a no brainer if you look at the second link below and see what the vision is for this area.
