Buckhead

Buckhead is famous across the country. Many people from out of state have heard of the area and are often inclined to search for housing here. Ten to twenty years ago, this was the only game in town. Everything that was cool was in Buckhead. Today, Buckhead still remains the premium Georgia shopping destination with Lenox Mall and Phipps Plaza. It also has the best assortment of high-end dining. The stretch along Piedmont boasts destinations like Bones Steakhouse, Fogo De Chao, Anthony’s Fine Dining, and Kyma, amongst others. Unfortunately, there are a few downsides to living in Buckhead. It’s a bit like Houston or Dallas; if you know where to go, there are tons of great places. But, you will need a car and the traffic can be a bit brutal. I am a pretty big fan of Buckhead, but I just want to note the perils that persist.

If you’re ok with a bit of rush hour traffic, then Buckhead may be perfect for you, as there are many great and secure highrises in this area. I do a lot of my business here and can recommend some great buildings to live in, or that can offer a nice return as an investment. For sure, as far as the “best of the best” within the condo market of Atlanta go, Sovereign, 10 Terminus Place, The Brookwood, The Mansion Over Peachtree Residences, The Ritz Carlton Residence, St. Regis Residences, and The Gallery are hands down the “crème de la crème.” They are the newest and without a doubt the nicest buildings. The Ritz Carlton Residence was brought to market at the end of 2011. As I recall, large one-bedrooms plus dens are starting in the $450K range. The St. Regis Residences just came back on the market in December 2011. Along with Sovereign, it is one of the most exclusive and expensive buildings in the South. Below are details of some of the other fantastic buildings located in the area.
