The Brookwood

This is what I call a “stately building”. The Brookwood is in southern Buckhead on Peachtree. It is near some of the most established and exclusive residential neighborhoods in Atlanta. The building features 20 stories, and only has two- and three-bedroom homes. The amenities include a saltwater pool and a very nice English-style garden. The building recently signed a very upscale restaurant, The Watershed, as one of its anchor tenants in their mixed-use retail space. The building itself is LEAD certified and has super nice finishes. The same people who built Sovereign were partners in the construction of this fine building. The granite is a thicker slab. The flooring is nicely oiled. The entryways to the residences are far from one another. This is a much more traditional building compared to the others I mentioned above.

I like this property because the HOA fees are a very manageable 30 cents per square foot. Most highrise buildings in Atlanta are 30-38 cents per square foot for the HOA. At 30 cents, this building is definitely on the lower side of that range. Many of my clients like the Brookwood because it is very close to I-85. In fact it is just three blocks away. It is also close to Midtown, which is another advantage of living in southern Buckhead. Some clients do not like that there are too few solid dining options, and the immediate area along Peachtree does not seem to be as prime as the buildings listed above.
